Position Summary
The Greeter is the first point of contact at the Kennett Area Senior Center, welcoming visitors and ensuring they have a smooth and informed arrival. This volunteer role is crucial in managing check-in procedures, supporting administrative tasks, and providing accurate information about our programs and services to enhance the overall visitor experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visitor Welcome and Check-In:
    • Greet visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor as they enter the center.
    • Ensure all visitors sign before proceeding to activities.
  • Paperwork and Registration:
    • Monitor the outstanding paperwork list and collect necessary documents, including registration forms and the SilverSneakers Waiver/Release Form, as needed.
  • Information Distribution:
    • Provide visitors with the Activity Schedule and Lunch Menu as needed.
    • Share information about Membership, including benefits, costs, and the sign-up process.
    • Answer questions about the KASC Activity Schedule and offer details regarding the Lunch pre-registration process.
    • Share information about the Center’s periodic events
  • Lunch Coordination:
    • Check off lunch attendees as they arrive and distribute name signs to ensure smooth lunch service.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with periodic administrative tasks such as mailings and other support duties

  • Multitasking Ability: Efficiently manages multiple tasks during high participant volume.
