Position Summary
The Greeter is the first point of contact at the Kennett Area Senior Center, welcoming visitors and ensuring they have a smooth and informed arrival. This volunteer role is crucial in managing check-in procedures, supporting administrative tasks, and providing accurate information about our programs and services to enhance the overall visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Visitor Welcome and Check-In:
- Greet visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor as they enter the center.
- Ensure all visitors sign before proceeding to activities.
- Paperwork and Registration:
- Monitor the outstanding paperwork list and collect necessary documents, including registration forms and the SilverSneakers Waiver/Release Form, as needed.
- Information Distribution:
- Provide visitors with the Activity Schedule and Lunch Menu as needed.
- Share information about Membership, including benefits, costs, and the sign-up process.
- Answer questions about the KASC Activity Schedule and offer details regarding the Lunch pre-registration process.
- Share information about the Center’s periodic events
- Lunch Coordination:
- Check off lunch attendees as they arrive and distribute name signs to ensure smooth lunch service.
- Administrative Support: Assist with periodic administrative tasks such as mailings and other support duties
