Alzheimer’s Support Group: Meets the first Wednesday of every month. It’s free and confidential.

We are pleased to show the Mind matters “Caring for the Caregiver” during the March Alzheimer’s Support group meeting. Mind Matters is a distinctive approach to learning offered by WITF Central Pennsylvania’s affiliate for PBS and NPR for the Pennsylvania Department of Aging Senior Community Centers to access highly engaging educational programming. For this special presentation we will meet in the Wendel room. (Please ask for directions when you sign in)

In April, Chief Holdsworth of the Kennett Borough Police will come to answer questions about safety and caring for a loved one with dementia.

In May, Valerie Santucci, the Director of Admissions of Pocopson Home, and  Courtney Smith, the Intake Coordinator will come to discuss the Admissions process for Pocopson. They will also discuss using Medicaid to pay for living at Nursing Homes like Pocopson.
